Boxing

Boxing is a combat sport in which two participants, typically wearing protective gloves and other safety equipment, engage in a contest of strength, speed, reflexes, and endurance by throwing punches at each other. The objective of boxing is to score points by landing punches on the opponent, or to achieve a knockout, which occurs when one fighter incapacitates the other, rendering them unable to continue the match. Boxing matches take place in a ring and are divided into rounds, with rules governing acceptable techniques, scoring, and fouls. Boxing has a rich history and is categorized into different weight classes, allowing fighters of similar sizes to compete against each other. It is both a professional sport with rankings and championships and an amateur sport, often featured in events such as the Olympics.
