Ice Skating

Ice skating is a recreational and competitive sport that involves gliding across a surface of ice on skates. Skates have blades fixed to the bottom, which allow skaters to move efficiently on the ice. Ice skating can take various forms, including figure skating, which emphasizes artistic performance and technical skills; speed skating, focused on racing; and ice hockey, a team sport played on ice. The activity can take place on indoor rinks or outdoor frozen bodies of water. Ice skating is enjoyed by individuals of all ages and skill levels, often as a leisure activity, but also as a form of exercise and competition.
