Turkish League

The Turkish League, officially known as the Süper Lig, is the top professional football division in Turkey. It operates under the governance of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) and is one of the major leagues in Europe. The league is contested by 18 teams, with each season running from August to May. The teams compete against one another in a round-robin format, where each club plays the others twice—once at home and once away. The league is known for its intense rivalries, particularly the Derby matches between Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, and Beşiktaş. The performance in the league determines qualification for European competitions, such as the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League. The Turkish League has gained recognition for its passionate fan base, competitive nature, and its role in advancing the popularity and development of football in Turkey.
